Danielle L. Pennetta joined Gleason, Dunn, Walsh & O’Shea in 2015, and concentrates her practice in labor and employment law as well as commercial lending. She primarily represents unions, their members, and individual employees, as well as, banks and lenders. In her role as bank and lender counsel, Ms. Pennetta represents banks and non-bank lenders in connection with their asset based, real estate, construction, interim and long-term secured lending. She is also involved with government guaranteed and government sponsored credit facilities, including those under the United States Small Business Administration’s 7(a) and 504 loan programs. Throughout her legal career, Ms. Pennetta has represented unions, employees, insurance companies, New York municipalities and their police departments, contractors, a major automobile leasing company, New York public authorities, and a Vermont railroad.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pennetta was employed for 10 years at a large national law firm in White Plains, New York, where she practiced primarily insurance defense and personal injury litigation. While there, her work included defending clients in numerous wrongful death matters and traumatic brain injury cases. Ms. Pennetta also previously worked in the litigation department of the largest law firm in Burlington, Vermont, where she handled civil litigation cases as well as utility and telecommunication cases pending before the Vermont Public Service Board.
Early on in her legal career while working in New Jersey, she practiced tort litigation and performed insurance fraud investigations for a national insurance company, leading to the discovery -of insurance fraud rings.
Ms. Pennetta is a community-based mentor for a high school student, and in this supporting role, coordinates both educational and social outings with her mentee. Ms. Pennetta is an animal lover and volunteers at animal shelters and is a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Humane Society of the U.S.
