Government and Municipal Law

General Counsel and Advising

Gleason Dunn Walsh & O'Shea's attorneys have significant expertise in areas of law that municipal officials regularly must navigate—including New York State laws that govern local government activities (such as the Education Law, General Municipal Law, County Law, Town Law and Village Law), the State Environmental Quality Review Act, labor and employment law, and workers compensation and insurance laws.   And we use that expertise to work with our clients on all facets of their legal needs; providing overall governance and strategic advice, and drafting local laws, resolutions, policies and contracts.

We provide both advice and counsel to the municipal boards we work with, as well as to their officers and other key personnel.  We also regularly work and cooperate with the organizations and service providers that contract with and assist these entities.
